As a Food and Consumables Coach with our Management team, you'll play a vital role in driving sales, customer satisfaction, and team development in our stores. About the Role We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Consumables Coach to join our team at Walmart. As a Food and Consumables Coach, you'll be responsible for leading and developing teams, driving sales and financial performance, and ensuring exceptional customer service in our stores. You'll work closely with store associates, management, and other stakeholders to achieve business objectives and drive growth. Key Responsibilities Lead and Develop Teams: Teach, train, and mentor store associates to achieve business objectives and drive growth. Tour stores to provide feedback, communicate business initiatives, and identify areas for improvement. Drive Sales and Financial Performance: Review and evaluate P&L statements, manage budgeting and forecasting, and control expenses to ensure sales and profit goals are achieved. Develop and implement action plans to mitigate shrink and drive sales growth. Ensure Exceptional Customer Service: Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards, manage customer service initiatives, and ensure customer needs are successfully resolved. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the customer experience. Supervise and Develop Hourly Associates: Hire, train, and mentor hourly associates, assign duties, and provide recognition and feedback. Ensure diversity and inclusion awareness and recruit and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs. Coordinate and Complete Job-Related Activities: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, support plans and initiatives, and identify and communicate goals and objectives. Build accountability and measure progress in achieving results. Ensure Compliance with Company Policies and Procedures: Implement related action plans, utilize and support the Open Door Policy, and provide direction and guidance on applying company policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum qualifications: 2 years' of college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience. Additionally, for facilities that sell firearms, you'll be required to successfully complete a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training. For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, you may need to obtain a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will set you apart as a strong candidate: Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University. Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University. General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
