About the Role As a Stocking Coach, you'll play a vital role in driving the success of our non-complex retail operations. Your primary focus will be on leading and developing high-performing teams, driving sales growth, and ensuring seamless store operations. You'll work closely with store associates, providing guidance, training, and feedback to help them excel in their roles. Key Responsibilities Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates; touring stores and providing feedback (Tour-to-Teach) Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements; managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring; assigning duties; setting clear expectations; and providing associate recognition Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity Minimum Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum qualifications: 2 years' of college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will give you a competitive edge: Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to drive sales growth and financial performance Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of retail operations and merchandising principles Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Career Growth Opportunities At Walmart, we're committed to helping our associates grow and develop their careers.
