About the Role We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team in a part-time capacity. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for determining and reporting on merchant discount income, driving revenue and profit growth through customer-driven pricing principles, and developing creative pricing solutions. This is a unique opportunity to influence multiple businesses and segments by aligning the organization's objective for profitable charge volume and merchant growth. Key Responsibilities Create a Canada figure for merchant discount income and track monthly performance against forecast, identifying drivers of change. Develop merchant discount income scorecards for the Canada region. Drive standardization and process improvement among the different regional pricing teams for all reporting and forecasting related activities. Support external audits, including investigating issues found, contacting the regional pricing teams that manage the merchant relationship to discuss issues, and managing resolutions. Perform ad-hoc data analysis to assess discount rate trends and uncover insights. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: 2+ years of experience in financial services or payments industry, and/or other financial roles. A Bachelor's degree required; strongly preferred in finance/Accounting/Business. High proficiency with Excel is required. Strong attention to detail and organization. Strong analytical skills; demonstrated ability to develop complex financial models and draw value-added insights from a large amount of financial data. Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., SAS/SQL) is required. Excellent communication skills - both written and oral. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment. Strong project management skills with full ownership from analysis through to execution. Customer-focused mindset; demonstrated desire to understand and address customer needs and pain points. Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize accordingly.
