Experienced Field Service Technical Trainer - West Region - Delivering Exceptional Training and Coaching for Field Service Technicians in the Medical Equipment Industry

We are now seeking an experienced Field Service Technical Trainer to join our team in the West region, where you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional training and coaching to our Field Service Technicians. Job Overview As a Field Service Technical Trainer, you will be responsible for the execution of classroom and field training for new and tenured Field Service Technicians. This role is also responsible for time in the field validating and coaching proper Field Service process execution. You will support Stryker's West region and will need to be based in the Central or Western US. Frequent travel to Kalamazoo, MI will be required – at least two weeks per month – in addition to travel throughout the Central/West region. Estimated travel needs of this role are around 50%. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver training materials and training programs in alignment with organizational expectations and strategy Actively engage in the onboarding and training of all new Field Service Technicians in alignment with the new hire process Mentor new Field Service Technicians, teaching and modeling proper process execution, customer-centric, and values-based behaviors Be an active part of establishing and implementing standards to operate a best-in-class training environment enabling a greater customer experience and increased employee engagement Execute quality audit processes validating training retention and appropriate service delivery Identify opportunities for improvement and assist in the development of updated procedures Function as a key partner in tracking elements of new employee training – training required for cross-training and product launches Partner with Regional Leaders to share insights and aid in strengthening the overall execution of work conducted by the Field Service team Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Bachelor's degree required 1+ year of relevant work experience in the development of training materials/processes and execution of training, service, and/or operations preferred Ability and comfort to travel around 50% required (in the Kalamazoo, MI office locations for two weeks a month required; additional travel around the Central/West region monthly also required) Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience in the medical equipment industry or a related field Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design Experience with training program development and delivery Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong technical skills and knowledge of medical equipment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Stryker, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
