Job Summary The E-Commerce Customer Business Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing our e-commerce strategy for Chewy.com and Petmeds.com, working closely with key accounts to achieve sales targets and category leadership. This role requires a deep understanding of the commercial aspects of business, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. As a key member of our US team, you will play a vital role in driving our online sales growth and helping us maintain our position as a leader in the pet care industry. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of our USA Chewy.com and California Pet Pharmacy e-commerce strategy and sales plans, aligning with corporate goals and objectives. Manage and build relationships with e-commerce accounts to deliver annual sales and profit targets, establishing short and long-term sales goals for all e-commerce products. Provide P&L oversight for key accounts, maximizing profitability by growing top-line sales and managing selling expenses. Develop annual sales and marketing plans, recommend and manage pricing, trade budgets, and spending effectiveness. Create and execute annual promotional plans for pet products with customers, ensuring excellence in execution. Collaborate with Demand Planning to create annual forecasts and provide monthly updates, allowing for timely adjustments and on-time delivery. Organize and manage major projects, including channel/account-specific campaigns, and coordinate with Marketing, Customer Service, and Finance. Collaborate with Marketing to provide strategic and tactical input, set advertising budgets, and commercial plans that drive business with online customers. Advise Marketing on market demand and insights, promotional opportunities, and future campaign ideas, incentives, and bonus offers. Oversee brand protection, collaborating with Brand Protection and Marketing to remedy problems and maintain our brand integrity. Communicate with other departments to foster teamwork and effectiveness, ensuring alignment and collaboration across the organization. Stay up-to-date on competitors in specific markets, developing strategies that position blithequark brands as category leaders. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: 5+ years of e-commerce sales and account management experience, either domestically or internationally. Commercial awareness, marketing, and sales background, with a preference for pet category experience. In-depth understanding of developing and executing sales and marketing strategies, plans, and campaigns. Strong commercial and analytical skills, with extensive experience working with Excel to conduct analysis and detailed sales reports. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with proficiency in English and a second language being helpful. Working knowledge of e-commerce contracts and understanding of the Terms and Conditions that govern everyday business. Knowledge of web promotion strategies, including Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Google/Yahoo/MSN ad words, and pay-per-click campaigns. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and experience with e-commerce platforms. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable: Pet category experience, with a deep understanding of the industry and its trends. Experience working with Chewy.com and Petmeds.com, or similar e-commerce platforms. Advanced analytical skills, with experience working with data analytics tools and software. Project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams. Education and Experience A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business or marketing-related discipline, with a minimum of five years related experience and/or training, is required for this role. Supervisory Responsibilities This role does not have supervisory responsibilities, but you will be expected to work closely with cross-functional teams and provide guidance and support as needed.
