**Experienced Director of Data Science – Global Data Strategy Lead for arenaflex's Risk Finance Group**

As a key member of this team, you'll have the opportunity to lead the Global Data Strategy group and drive revolutionary information solutions that inform business decisions. **Job Summary:** We're seeking an experienced Director of Data Science to lead our Global Data Strategy group within Risk Finance. As a strategic leader, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing centralized reporting capabilities, process enhancements, and automation to drive strong forecasts and analytics for the wider Risk Finance organization. If you're a data science expert with a passion for driving business outcomes, we want to hear from you. **Key Responsibilities:** As the Director of Data Science, you'll be responsible for: * **Leading the strategic evaluation of arenaflex credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance**: You'll analyze complex data sets to inform business decisions and drive strategic growth. * **Owning precise information assets/packages within Risk Finance, and becoming a subject matter expert of the applicable tools**: You'll troubleshoot issues, reconcile results, identify enhancements and automation possibilities, and train other customers to drive adoption. * **Developing and maintaining preferred and ad-hoc reviews used by Risk Finance and/or business partners; providing credit-associated analytical aid**: You'll create data-driven insights to inform business decisions and drive growth. * **Developing and presenting key analyses and recommendations to Senior Management**: You'll communicate complex data insights to senior leaders and drive business outcomes. * **Building and maintaining relationships across Risk Finance portfolio groups and with partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, etc.**: You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and build strong relationships. * **Providing selection-aid with a strong emphasis on growing analytics that identify trends and opportunities within the portfolio which may be used to optimize Business and Risk decisions**: You'll develop data-driven insights to inform business decisions and drive growth. **Required Qualifications:** To be successful in this role, you'll need: * **Advanced experience working with a maximum of the following is required: SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, TM1**: You'll have a strong foundation in data analysis and visualization tools. * **Experience working with a sophisticated degree of Excel and PowerPoint required**: You'll be proficient in creating complex spreadsheets and presentations. * **Experience in ML modeling is a plus**: You'll have a strong understanding of machine learning concepts and applications. * **Solid economic and analytical skills; ability to work with large units of data and draw significant conclusions, empowering our business partners to make smart, data-driven decisions**: You'll be able to analyze complex data sets and drive business outcomes. * **Superior attention to detail, alongside exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills**: You'll be able to manage multiple tasks and work within tight timelines. * **Must be results-driven and proactive with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within tight timelines**: You'll be able to drive business outcomes and meet deadlines. * **Desire to work on ambiguous tasks, growing clarity while achieving successful and significant outcomes**: You'll be able to navigate complex problems and drive business outcomes. * **A strong work-ethic and strong interpersonal skills, showcasing the potential to build and maintain relationships and successfully collaborate with team members to achieve goals**: You'll be able to build strong relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams. * **Master's degree in advanced mathematics or statistical discipline required**: You'll have a strong foundation in mathematical and statistical concepts. **Considerations for Sponsorship:** arenaflex may offer visa sponsorship for certain positions, depending on business unit requirements, the nature of the position, value, and relevant laws. **Compensation and Benefits:** We offer a competitive salary range of $55.00 to $85.00 hourly, plus bonus, equity (if relevant), and benefits.
