About the Role arenaflex is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Scientist to join its Applied Product team. As an early member of the Data Scientist group, you will play a pivotal role in establishing the data-driven product development culture, focusing on either consumer products or developer platforms. Design and interpret A/B tests to answer critical questions about the impact of model and UX changes on the product. Establish a data-driven product development culture by leading the definition, tracking, and operationalization of feature, product, and company-level metrics. Develop and socialize dashboards, reports, and other tools to enable the team and company to answer product data questions in a self-serve manner. Essential Qualifications To excel in this role, you should have: 4+ years of experience in a quantitative role exploring highly uncertain conditions, ideally as a founding data scientist or product expert at a hyper-growth product company or research organization. Experience in proposing, designing, and running comprehensive experiments with clear insights and product recommendations using SQL and Python. A track record of defining, implementing, and operationalizing new feature and product-level metrics from scratch. Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate with product managers, engineers, and executives alike. Key insights beyond the paradigm of statistical significance testing. Preferred Qualifications You could be an especially strong fit if you have: Demonstrated relevant experience in NLP, large language models, or generative AI.
