About the Role: Key Responsibilities As a Data Entry Specialist and Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, your primary responsibilities will include: Assisting pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, adhering to state, federal, and company policies. Utilizing pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information and process prescriptions accurately. Providing exceptional customer service, resolving customer issues, and answering inquiries. Modeling and sharing customer service best practices with team members to ensure a unique and delightful customer experience. Developing strong relationships with key customers through effective communication and engagement. Performing duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and maintaining workflow. Reporting prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhering to company policies and procedures. Handling cash register operations, processing transactions, and maintaining accuracy. Assisting with stock management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing prescription drugs. Supporting the Pharmacy team in coordination with healthcare clinics and external vendors. Maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly pharmacy department. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must: Be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). Preferred qualifications include: Six months of experience in a retail environment. Previous work experience with Walgreens. Desirable math skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing medicines. Proficient computer skills. Knowledge of store inventory management. PC Certification (Pharmacy Technician Certification). Skills and Competencies Required for Success To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
