Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Data Entry and Virtual Assistant professional to join Walmart's team. As a Director of Data Analytics, you will be responsible for developing a framework of KPIs to measure the effectiveness of our initiatives. You will define the metrics and lead the development of the data pipeline and dashboards to distribute these metrics and report progress towards our objectives to senior leadership on a regular basis. About the Team The Director of Data Analytics will be a member of the Store Automation and Innovation team and will report to the Vice President, Store Innovation and Automation. This role will be based in Bentonville, Arkansas, and will require collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improvement. Key Responsibilities Identify data sources, requiring knowledge of functional business areas and situations, categories of data, and where it is held, business data requirements, database technologies, and data quality. Analyze business problems within your discipline and question assumptions to help identify root causes; identify and recommend approaches to resolving business problems; and set meaningful goals based on established progress guidelines and key metrics. Evaluate proposed business cases for projects and initiatives, translate business requirements into solutions, and align the team to the business strategy while implementing expectations. Identify and recommend the most suitable visualization tools based on context and define application design based on user needs; includes building compelling stories based on context, presenting to and influencing various audiences using appropriate data visualization, and adjusting communication style based on stakeholders. Provide overall direction by analyzing business objectives and client needs - includes developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; investigating costs and estimates and integrating into best practices; and determining and supporting resource requirements. Develop and leverage internal and external partnerships and networks, lead key community outreach and engagement initiatives, and support stakeholders while respecting and adhering to the company principles of integrity and ethics. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and big data tools (e.g., Hive). Experience with dashboarding tools (e.g., Looker) and scheduling/workflow tools (e.g., Airflow). Ability to communicate complex metrics to executives clearly. Ability to connect the details of data and their impact on the business. Experience developing new metrics to track business impact. Experience leading a team of analysts. Willingness to build dashboards and reports that aggregate data from multiple sources.
