Job Overview In this critical role, you will report to the Sr Director of Limit and Capacities within the Transportation Planning department. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with a team of Data Analysts to develop, enhance, and maintain capacity planning capabilities. You will work closely with the forecasting segment of the team to understand transportation requirements based on updated demand signals. Subsequently, you will create capacity plans outlining the capacity for each network and regions of the country, enabling business areas to increase or decrease capacity through various means. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data science groups, to foster top-tier analytics capabilities that identify gaps automatically and enable root cause analysis and case management to eliminate defects. Develop and maintain complex data models, scorecards, and reports to drive business decisions and improvements in efficiencies or autonomous direction. Partner intimately with Finance, Operations, and other key stakeholders to build useful and positive relationships across the organization at all levels, driving impact and business benefits. Communicate complex technical points clearly and without difficulty to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including presentation of findings and insights to senior leadership. Thrive in ambiguity and frequent lack of clarity, demonstrating the ability to flourish in a fast-moving environment while managing multiple projects and tight deadlines. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics. You should have solid business relational skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex technical points clearly and without difficulty. Proficiency in SQL, GCP, and Tableau is essential, as well as the ability to truly organize, visualize, and story-tell using data. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in a quantitative field, such as Master's in Data Science or Ph.D. in Statistics. Experience working in a remote environment, with a proven track record of success in a similar role. Expertise in additional tools and technologies, such as Python, R, or cloud-based data platforms. Professional certifications, such as Certified Data Analyst or Certified Analytics Professional.
