Key Responsibilities Guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of sports data distributed by the Data and Analytics team, including scores, schedules, standings, and other relevant information. Work independently and collaboratively to deliver accurate and detailed data analysis, clock-and-score, and other metrics and data that power various arenaflex products and productions. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Data and Analytics team's role in fueling arenaflex's digital and television products. Verify the results of your own work and that of others, performing with a consistently high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Contribute to production, projects, and initiatives across the newsroom, and support newsroom leaders who are managing full-time and part-time staff. Anticipate potential issues, both short-term and long-term, and propose likely solutions, communicating rapidly and clearly with stakeholders on these issues. Play a proactive role in collaborating with colleagues to develop or refine production processes. Be an active participant in team and department meetings, seeking and responding to feedback on individual performance. Stay informed about current departmental policies and procedures. Essential Qualifications Working knowledge of sports, teams, players, and game rules. Full-time schedule availability, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to quickly learn production processes that produce or maintain sports data that powers arenaflex's digital and television products. Capacity to achieve a high level of content accuracy in time-sensitive production environments. Ability to communicate confidently, both verbally and in writing, to production managers and colleagues about production issues and opportunities. Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of experience working in sports or statistics, ideally in media. Knowledge of how sports data is used in media and for research purposes. Working knowledge of arenaflex products and productions. Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office products. Experience leading or mentoring a team. Ability to speak and write Spanish. Experience using social media in a business or news environment. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
