As a vital supporter of the Expense Group, this individual will be responsible for supporting the innovation and information needs of the entire tax association. The successful candidate will work closely with partners to identify tax information and technology needs, define requirements, and manage implementation. This is a part-time, remote opportunity that offers a competitive hourly rate of $30. Key Responsibilities Work directly with partners to identify tax information and technology needs, define requirements, and manage implementation Collaborate with data engineers to design new data sources and tooling to fit the tax team's needs Continuously innovate and consider smarter and more efficient ways of getting things done Solve complex problems using data on a large scale Experiment with cutting-edge technologies, such as AI and machine learning, to bring innovative solutions to tax Participate in defining the organization's tax information and automation roadmap Work cross-functionally, start to finish, between the business at the front, engineering in the middle, and accounting teams at the back to ensure the integrity of tax information streams Enhance the tax team's understanding and use of automation technologies through team knowledge sharing Essential Qualifications BA/BS Degree in Accounting, MIS, Computer Science, or a similar field of study Experience with managing large sets of financial data 4+ years of data and automation experience; tax-related data experience is a plus Experience creating workflows in Alteryx Cloud Deep experience running SQL queries Familiarity with technology tools like Alteryx Desktop, Snowflake, Python Experience writing business requirements and testing to support large data projects Experience participating in the analysis and testing of new data sets Experience using various productivity programs (Monday.com, Microsoft Office, Google (G-sheets, docs, and slides)) Attention to detail and analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Self-motivated individual with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work independently Curious and driven to find the right answer Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong empathy and compassion for others Preferred Qualifications Experience with AI, Quantitative Analysis, Database, and ETL best practices Knowledge of scripting languages and reviewing code for accuracy Alteryx Certified Specialist CMI or CMI candidate Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, employees are encouraged to learn, grow, and develop their skills.
