You will work closely with our team to deliver detailed breakdowns, clock-and-score data, and other metrics that power our digital and television products. Key Responsibilities Ensure sports data distributed by blithequark is accurate, timely, and of high quality Work independently and collaboratively to deliver detailed breakdowns, clock-and-score data, and other metrics that power our digital and television products Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of blithequark's role in fueling our digital and television products Verify the accuracy of your work and that of others, performing with a consistently high level of attention to detail Contribute to production, projects, and initiatives across the newsroom, and support newsroom leaders in coordinating full-time and part-time staff Anticipate potential issues, both daily and long-term, and propose likely solutions, communicating rapidly and clearly with stakeholders on these issues Play a proactive role in collaborating with colleagues to develop or refine production processes Be an active participant in team and department meetings Seek and respond to feedback regarding individual performance Stay informed about current departmental policies and procedures Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A bachelor's degree or equivalent Working knowledge of teams, players, and the rules of various sports Full-time schedule availability, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to quickly learn production processes that produce or maintain sports data that powers blithequark's digital and television products Capacity to achieve a high level of content accuracy in time-sensitive production environments Ability to communicate confidently, both verbally and in writing, with production managers and colleagues about production issues and opportunities Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable: 1+ years of experience working in sports or statistics, ideally in media Knowledge of how sports data is used in media and for research purposes Working knowledge of blithequark products and productions Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office products Experience leading or mentoring a team Ability to speak and write Spanish Experience using social media in a business or news environment Career Growth and Learning Opportunities At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
