Job Overview The Research & Design Consultant at arenaflex plays a vital role in supporting our Network Planning Team in the flight schedule introduction process. As a strategic thinker and expert communicator, you will identify and implement solutions to aid in the development of efficient flight schedules. This role requires collaboration with various departments, analytical and strategic support, and effective communication with leaders and stakeholders. Responsibilities Coordinate with teams and leaders across Network Planning and Business Teams to ensure cooperation and alignment on multiple efforts and initiatives Analyze schedules and complex datasets to discover relevant insights for stakeholders Synthesize large amounts of data using SQL, Access, Excel, Tableau, and Alteryx Develop high-quality and timely presentation materials to inform and influence Senior Leaders Navigate the complexities of multiple teams and engagements Analyze historical profitability and performance metrics to gain insight into future performance Contribute to the innovative development of opportunity network designs, connectivity structures, scheduling approaches, and more Deliver analysis and solutions that illustrate a clear understanding of the business problem at hand, as well as the broader impact across the organization Communicate recommendations and results to department and Commercial/Operational Leaders using a communication approach that acknowledges the intended audience and provides the recommended course of action May perform other task responsibilities as directed by Employee's Leaders Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should possess: Knowledge of business and management concepts related to strategic planning, resource allocation, management techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources Skilled in reading complex datasets quickly to extract insightful information Skilled in creating PowerPoint presentations to present data and points relevant to the target audience Skilled in communicating and influencing, able to engage directly and effectively with other teams, including individual contributors, Leadership, and Senior Leadership Ability to guide a project from start to finish independently and engage with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) Ability to leverage outputs from schedule forecasting, optimization, and simulation tools to provide feedback on future schedules Ability to manage effectively through ambiguous and unstructured issues or situations, often requiring resolution quickly Ability to provide results quickly and with minimal guidance; demonstrates a self-starter mindset to discover next steps and opportunities Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Advanced degree in a related field, such as business administration, aviation management, or data analysis Experience in the aviation industry, particularly in quantitative roles Expertise in presentation and visualization platforms, such as Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience with data access and analytical platforms, such as SQL and Alteryx Knowledge of transportation operations, traffic, or profitability analysis Education and Experience The minimum educational requirement for this role is a High School Diploma or GED. However, advanced degree holders and those with specialized expertise in related fields are encouraged to apply.
