Key Responsibilities Data Transformation and Integration: Design, develop, and maintain complex data pipelines and architectures that transform and integrate data from various sources into actionable insights. Data Source Identification: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data sources and requirements, and develop data quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability. Data Modeling: Analyze complex data elements, systems, and relationships to develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models that drive business decision-making. Code Development and Testing: Write high-quality code in languages such as Python, Java, and Scala to develop data solutions, and test and validate code to ensure accuracy and performance. Applied Business Acumen: Provide business insights and recommendations to stakeholders to drive business growth and improvement, and develop business cases for projects with a clear ROI or cost savings. Data Governance: Establish and maintain data governance practices and policies, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements. Leadership and Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to drive business outcomes and deliver results. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. 2+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or related field. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, and Scala. Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes. Knowledge of distributed computing platforms such as Hadoop, GCP, and Azure. Preferred Qualifications Experience with data bricks, NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB, and RDBMS such as MySQL and Postgres. Hands-on experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka. Experience with data integration tools such as Automic and Informatica. Graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Experience with business intelligence tools and data visualization. Skills and Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong business acumen and understanding of retail industry trends. Experience with Agile development methodologies.
