The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep technical understanding of current cybersecurity threats and relevant protections against them. A history of hands-on experience in developing and maintaining services in a highly accessible environment is essential. Success in this role will be achieved by contributing to the delivery of a top-tier cybersecurity program designed to address, contain, and drive successful resolution to any cybersecurity situation.Summary of Key Responsibilities• Create, design, execute, and direct a variety of security platforms such as SEIMs, IDS/IPS, Endpoint Security tools, Firewalls, WAFs, Encryption/HSMs, DDOS services, configuration management tools, vulnerability scanners, PKI, and more.• Maintain and improve cybersecurity services related to documentation, updates, policy management, and identify automation potential opportunities.• Identify and propose improvements to gaps in Starbucks' security practices.• Ensure documentation for managed platforms/services is detailed, accurate, and up-to-date.• Collaborate with internal architects to ensure platform objectives and security arrangements are designed to meet business strategy and requirements.• Participate in on-call operational exercises in case of an emergency.• Act as a mentor and escalation point for less experienced team members.Essential QualificationsTo excel in this role, you should have:• Experience working in related technical roles, with a focus on framework security or data security.• A technical understanding of modern cybersecurity technologies and threats.• Previous experience managing and operating a wide range of security platforms.• Experience working in a hybrid cloud environment.• Excellent critical thinking skills and a willingness to learn new technology concepts.• Adaptability to handle changes and a proactive approach to challenges.Preferred QualificationsWhile not mandatory, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:• Certifications like CISSP, CISM, CIPM, or others focused on cybersecurity.• The ability to automate tasks and engage with APIs using common scripting languages.• Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements like SOX and PCI.What We OfferAt Workwarp, we're committed to creating a diverse and welcoming work environment that includes partners from various backgrounds and experiences.
