Job Overview As a Customs Trade Coordinator at blithequark, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth clearance of shipments through customs, providing top-notch customer service, and maintaining accurate records. This is a full-time, remote position that offers a competitive salary range of $20-30 per hour, with a standard 8-hour workday. Key Responsibilities Deliver exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner Retrieve and verify shipment information from databases, SOPs, duty books, web resources, or customs documentation to ensure accurate customs clearance Perform data entry and processing of import-related documentation for submission to US Customs, including PGA (Participating Government Agencies) documentation Maintain and update shipment records in compliance with all record-keeping requirements, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail Collaborate with internal staff, departments, other blithequark operations, and clients to provide a high level of service and support Process organization financier shipments and handle remote filings as needed Ensure compliance with all international importing and exporting regulations, adhering to blithequark's policies and procedures Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should possess: A high school certificate or GED, with a minimum of 6 months of work experience preferred Data entry and computer experience, with proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment (phone, fax, scanner, printer, copier) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational and interpersonal abilities Problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle high volumes of work and time-sensitive tasks Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision, utilizing various systems and reference materials as needed Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience in a customs trade or logistics role, with knowledge of import and export regulations Familiarity with customs clearance procedures and documentation requirements Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on customer service and teamwork Career Growth and Learning Opportunities At blithequark, we're committed to supporting the growth and development of our team members.
