Job Overview The Customer Service Specialist will serve as a liaison outside of normal business hours, efficiently serving the needs of internal and external customers. This role requires a high level of expertise in financial products and services, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for answering inbound telephone calls, responding to customer inquiries and problems, and gathering necessary information to document and resolve customer issues. Key Responsibilities Efficiently serve the needs of internal and external customers, providing professional and quality service through various channels, including telephone, email, and online chats. Answer inbound telephone calls, respond to customer inquiries and problems, and gather necessary information to document and resolve customer issues. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, including telephone call statistics and account information, while adhering to strict privacy guidelines in a remote environment. Process telephone transfers, loan payments, and stop payment requests, and quote loan payoffs as needed. Monitor and respond to online chats from the website, and assist customers with Internet Banking and Bill Pay, including resetting passcodes and guiding customers through the website. Reset electronic banking PINS, duplicate statements, and answer debit card inquiries, including resetting PINs and ordering replacement cards. Provide Video Teller assistance for ITMs and maintain accurate department records, staying up-to-date with all blithequark products and services. Cross-sell to existing and prospective customers, identifying sales referral opportunities and participating in sales campaigns as identified. Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, the candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with extensive knowledge of deposits, loans, and banking products and services. A minimum of two years of customer service experience or related experience is required, with financial call center experience preferred but not necessary. Essential Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. Extensive knowledge of deposits, loans, and banking products and services. Minimum of two years of customer service experience or related experience. Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Ability to perform repetitive tasks and maintain attention to detail. Ability to work from home with a reliable internet connection, meeting the technical requirements of 10 Mbps download/5 Mbps upload, with a latency of 50ms or less. Preferred Qualifications Financial call center experience. Experience working with Microsoft 360, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work outside normal banking hours and adapt to changing priorities. Strong relationship-building skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
