About the Role As a Customer Service Representative (Student Loan Advisor) at blithequark, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch support to student borrowers, addressing their questions, and resolving any issues they may encounter. Your primary responsibilities will include taking incoming calls, using chat, and making outbound calls as necessary to ensure our customers receive the assistance they need. You will be required to practice active listening, demonstrate empathy, and communicate clearly and professionally with our customers. This is an in-center position with the possibility of working from home after 90 days, provided you meet the necessary performance, attendance, and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities: Utilize standard technology such as telephones, email, and web browsers to interact with customers and provide support. Navigate to pre-scripted responses and read them verbatim to provide accurate and helpful information to customers. Follow established policies and standard operating procedures, including working within various systems, maintaining accurate timekeeping, and documenting calls from start to finish. Assist callers with filling out applications and submitting them electronically for processing. Complete basic call logs, documentation, and related call details for each phone inquiry. Schedule and Work Environment Your schedule will be as follows: Monday: 11:45am-8:15pm Tuesday: 10:45am-7:15pm Wednesday: 10:45am-7:15pm Thursday: 8:45am-5:15pm Friday: 8:45am-5:15pm Please note that you may be required to work holidays, and overtime may be necessary. Requirements and Preferred Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to speak and read English clearly, professionally, and fluently. Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute. Experience working with personal computers and the Windows operating system. Strong computer skills with proficiencies in Excel and Word. Excellent command of the English language and effective use of grammar skills. Excellent communication etiquette and customer service skills. Preferred skills include: Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to multi-task and stay organized while completing simultaneous tasks.
