Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team in the State Disbursement Unit. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for responding to customer service calls and correspondence according to Standard Operating Procedures and contact requirements. This is a full-time, remote work opportunity that offers a unique chance to work from the comfort of your own home while being part of a dynamic and supportive team. Key Responsibilities Receive calls from child support customers and other stakeholders, responding promptly and professionally following Standard Operating Procedures and contract requirements Process correspondence in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and contract requirements, ensuring timely and accurate responses Document correspondence and contacts in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and contract requirements, maintaining accurate and interrelated records Complete system and State system updates in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and contract requirements, ensuring seamless operations and compliance Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Desired Knowledge and Abilities To be successful in this role, you should possess: Knowledge of customer service techniques, including how to handle upset callers and resolve conflicts effectively Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening, with the ability to respond promptly to customer needs Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters, demonstrating empathy and understanding Modern office practices, procedures, and equipment, with proficiency in data entry skills and software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Windows products Ability to interpret, apply, analyze, and explain laws, procedures, and regulations pertaining to SDU payment processing procedures and programs Ability to maintain accurate and interrelated records, identify and resolve errors, and work with integrity and ethically Ability to work independently with little direction, meet schedules and timelines, and work confidentially with discretion Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, with the ability to apply interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy Education and Experience We require: High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year prior experience in an area of service delivery, customer service, call center technology, or other related field OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the work Language and Computer Skills You should be: Fluent in English - Speaking, Reading & Writing Proficient in data entry skills, including keyboard, mouse, and 10-key pad, with experience and knowledge of software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Windows products What We Offer At arenaflex, we offer a competitive pay rate of $14.15/hr, as well as a range of perks and benefits, including: Work from home opportunity, with the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home Paid training, to ensure you have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in your role Set schedule: Monday - Friday between 8:00am CST - 6:00pm CST, providing a stable and predictable work environment Higher pay for fluent Bilingual Spanish CSRs, recognizing the value of language skills in our customer service team Medical, Dental, Vision benefits after 30 days of enrollment, to support your health and wellbeing 401(k) plan, to help you plan for your future Paid Time Off (PTO) accrual on your first day, providing you with time to relax and recharge Gym Membership Reimbursements, to support your physical health and fitness Career Growth Opportunities, to help you develop your skills and advance in your career Exciting, Fun and Supportive Virtual Work Environment, with a team that feels like family Our Culture and Values At arenaflex, we are committed to creating a positive and supportive work environment, where our employees can thrive and grow.
