As a key member of our team, you'll provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy, ensuring that their medication orders are processed efficiently and effectively. Your primary responsibilities will include: * Providing exceptional customer service to patients, insurance companies, and internal partners * Coordinating and processing new patient medication orders and reorders * Verifying and reverifying benefits to ensure accurate processing * Translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system * Communicating and collecting copay amounts * Obtaining authorizations and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues **Key Responsibilities** * Provide exceptional customer service to patients, insurance companies, and internal partners * Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders * Verify and reverify benefits to ensure accurate processing * Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system * Communicate and collect copay amounts * Obtain authorizations and work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues * Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of specialty medications * Demonstrate a deep understanding of healthcare benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology **Essential Qualifications** * One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone * One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications * One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude * Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent **Preferred Qualifications** * Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology * Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with internal teams * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively * Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications * Strong computer keyboarding skills and aptitude **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
