Some of your key responsibilities will include: * **Interacting with beneficiaries and providers**: Communicate verbally and in writing with external customers to furnish and request review information. * **Creating, formatting, and proofreading letters**: Ensure all correspondence is accurate, clear, and timely. * **Maintaining timeliness**: Meet deadlines and prioritize assignments to ensure efficient workflow. * **Decision-making**: Make informed decisions regarding complex appeals, using your expertise and judgment to resolve issues. * **Fostering effective working relationships**: Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, promoting a culture of collaboration and respect. **Qualifications** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * **High school diploma or equivalent**: A solid educational foundation is essential for this position. * **Post-high school business courses**: While not required, relevant coursework can be beneficial in this role. * **Medical terminology**: Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus, but not essential. * **Excellent verbal communication skills**: You'll need to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management. * **Customer-focused approach**: A customer-centric mindset is essential for this role, as you'll be interacting with customers on a daily basis. * **Results-oriented and flexible**: You'll need to be able to prioritize assignments, work independently, and adapt to changing situations. * **General knowledge of PC-based computer systems**: Familiarity with computer systems is desirable, but not essential. * **Knowledge of software packages**: You'll need to be able to learn new software packages as needed. **Experience** While not essential, relevant experience in a healthcare setting or with medical terminology can be beneficial.
