Job Overview In this remote position, you will be responsible for responding to incoming calls, chats, and emails, as well as making outbound calls, to provide top-notch support to customers regarding Federal Student Aid (FSA) Loan Servicing. As a representative of arenaflex, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, addressing their inquiries, resolving issues, and providing accurate information to ensure a seamless experience. Key Responsibilities Handle customer service inquiries and problems via phone, email, or chat, recording consistent problem areas and providing timely resolutions Utilize computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting to address customer concerns Respond to customer inquiries by referring them to published materials, secondary sources, or more senior staff, as needed Process requests received via general correspondence and notate accounts regarding actions taken in response to those requests Support Contact Center expectations, as well as departmental and corporate policies and procedures, to ensure a cohesive and efficient customer service experience Maintain regular use of the feedback tool to give and receive constructive feedback on call quality and department tasks, driving continuous improvement and growth Assist with Credit Bureau Requests utilizing established processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance Refer escalated calls or inquiries to appropriate levels, as needed, to ensure prompt and effective resolution Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements: High school diploma or equivalent with 6 months of customer service experience Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills Basic math and PC skills, including MS Office applications Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to organize simultaneous tasks Regular and predictable attendance is required, with flexibility to work scheduled holidays, overtime, and weekends, as needed Must reside in the U.S. and be a U.S. citizen, with the ability to pass a criminal background check Cannot be in default on any federal student loans Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Prior experience in customer service, preferably in a remote or call center environment Familiarity with federal student aid programs and loan servicing procedures Experience with computerized systems and software applications, such as CRM or helpdesk tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you must possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
