Job Overview We are seeking highly motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Customer Service Representatives – Membership. As a critical member of our Member Service Center (MSC), you will be responsible for receiving and resolving member service requests via phone or internet, mediating requests for service, and promoting various products and services to our members. This is an entry-level trainee position that offers opportunities for growth and development within the organization. Key Responsibilities Receive and successfully resolve member service requests via phone or internet, ensuring prompt and effective solutions to member inquiries and concerns. MEDIATE requests for service and possess the skill sets to achieve proficiency in two other business lines within the MSC, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn. Sell and promote various products and services to members, identifying opportunities to meet their needs and provide value-added solutions. Empowered to make service-policy exceptions on the member's behalf, ensuring member retention and satisfaction, and demonstrating a member-centric approach to service delivery. Work directly with customers through inbound phone calls, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner. Listen and understand customer issues, offering meaningful solutions and proactively promoting valuable products and services to meet their needs. Actively listen and engage members and fellow team members with a "can do" attitude, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Essential Qualifications Prior customer service experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of customer needs and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Must live within a 30-mile radius of the training location, ensuring ease of access to our facilities and minimizing commuting time. Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening), with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner. Ability to multi-task and perform well in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet performance goals. Proficiency using computers while actively listening, with experience in data entry and complex computer navigation. A flexible, "can do" attitude, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities. High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in basic skills and a commitment to ongoing learning and development. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test, ensuring a safe and secure work environment for all employees. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a call center or customer service environment, with a strong understanding of service delivery principles and practices. Knowledge of sales and marketing principles, with the ability to promote products and services effectively and identify opportunities to meet customer needs. Experience working with diverse customer groups, with a commitment to delivering culturally sensitive and responsive service. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and develop creative solutions to complex problems.
