Key Responsibilities Assist customers in making payments to fully automated revenue control equipment Help customers with parking services and facilitate the expedient flow of traffic through the facility Lead programs to improve client and customer satisfaction Assist in the management of day-to-day activities at the assigned location Monitor parkers in pay-in lanes and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner Provide assistance to customers who have forgotten where they parked their vehicle Conduct garage and facility audits as required by management Count the "bank" of revenue at the beginning of each shift to ensure the starting total is correct Make change for customers before transactions and quote rates for parking services Give directions to customers to various locations in the city Resolve customer complaints independently or with the aid of a supervisor Answer telephone calls in a prompt and courteous manner Maintain the cleanliness of the facility and pick up trash in the surrounding area Present yourself professionally at all times while at work, with a neat appearance and in uniform Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and complete any other duties assigned by the supervisor Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you must have: A High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of experience and education Experience with automated parking access control hardware and software, or a high aptitude for technology Availability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, nights, afternoons, weekends, and holidays A valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record Mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure Language skills, including the ability to read, write, and interpret the English language Reasoning ability, including the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but standard written or oral instructions Adaptability, including the ability to deal with changes in the work environment and unexpected events Judgment, including the ability to exhibit sound and accurate judgment Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in customer service or a related field Knowledge of parking access control systems and technology Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and competencies: Strong customer service skills, including the ability to respond to customer problems or complaints Ability to use clock, calculator, or credit card machine to handle transactions Ability to maintain a pleasant and mannerly demeanor when speaking on the telephone and with the public Proactive approach with strong personal drive and proven customer service skills Ability to lead by example and work in a team environment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
