Job Overview As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional shopping experiences to our customers. Your key priorities will include greeting customers, assisting them with selecting merchandise, completing transactions, and answering questions regarding the store and merchandise. Key Responsibilities Provide customer engagement in a positive and approachable manner, ensuring that every customer interaction is meaningful and memorable. Assist in maintaining a clean, well-stocked store for customers during their shopping experience, contributing to a safe and secure environment. Help in the unloading of merchandise from delivery trucks, organize merchandise, and transport merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor, ensuring that our shelves are always fully stocked. Independently stock shelves and recover merchandise in the store, taking pride in your work and attention to detail. Accurately handle customer funds and process transactions using the POS system, demonstrating a high level of integrity and accountability. Remain constantly aware of customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment, responding promptly to any concerns or issues that may arise. Perform all other duties as assigned in order to maintain an effective and profitable store operation, demonstrating your flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances. Position Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of education, experience, and skills that will enable you to provide exceptional customer service and support the overall operations of our store. Education We prefer candidates who have completed high school or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in basic skills and knowledge. You should also be able to follow directives and interpret retail operational documents as assigned, showing a willingness to learn and adapt to our systems and processes. Experience Preferably, you will have experience working in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments, having developed a strong understanding of customer needs and expectations. Your experience will have taught you the importance of providing exceptional customer service, working effectively in a team environment, and contributing to the overall success of the organization. Physical Requirements This role requires a moderate level of physical activity, including regularly lifting up to 40lbs. (and occasionally, up to 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height. You must be able to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation. Your physical ability to perform these tasks will be essential to your success in this role. Availability We require candidates who are available to work a flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
