About the Role We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our team at blithequark. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the face of our brand, interacting with customers daily, providing product information, handling transactions, and ensuring that our store maintains its high standards of appearance and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide them with a positive shopping experience. Operate the register, process transactions accurately, and handle customer payments. Make purchase suggestions to customers, promoting products and services that meet their needs. Participate in our food program and other in-store initiatives as required. Maintain the store's appearance, ensuring it is clean, well-organized, and visually appealing. Work collaboratively with the team to achieve daily goals and objectives. Provide regular and predictable onsite attendance, adhering to our scheduling requirements. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should possess: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide friendly and professional customer service. Experience in retail and customer service, preferably in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating your foundational education. Motivation to advance in your career, with a willingness to learn and grow with blithequark. Ability to work as part of a team, contributing to the achievement of daily goals and objectives. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Prior experience as a sales associate or cashier, with a proven track record of providing excellent customer care. Ability to think quickly and offer suggestions, demonstrating your problem-solving skills and creativity. Familiarity with retail operations, including store appearance standards and customer service protocols. Physical Requirements This role requires: Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours, with regular breaks to ensure your comfort and safety. Lifting and/or carrying up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead, up to 30 minutes in a shift, with appropriate lifting techniques to avoid injury. Occasional lifting and/or carrying up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level, as needed. Pushing/pulling with arms up to a force of 20 pounds, using equipment or tools as required. Bending at the waist with some twisting, up to one hour a shift, with regular stretching to maintain flexibility. Grasping, reaching, and manipulating objects with hands, requiring eye-hand coordination, with the possibility of climbing a ladder to store and retrieve materials or place and remove signs.
