Job Overview As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service to our clients, both in-person and over the phone, even in high-stress situations. You will be responsible for managing lobby flow, addressing concerns, calming distressed owners, and scheduling appointments. Your exceptional customer service skills, combined with your ability to multitask and work accurately in a fast-paced environment, will make you an invaluable asset to our team. Key Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations, ensuring that clients receive prompt and courteous assistance. Manage lobby flow, addressing concerns and calming distressed owners in a professional and empathetic manner. Schedule appointments and handle basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being. Assist with medication pickups, inquiries, and provide information about services and products, demonstrating a strong knowledge of our services and products. Input and manage data in practice management software, including billing and accounts, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Assist with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances. Reconcile cash drawer and perform end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions, ensuring that all financial transactions are handled accurately and efficiently. Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a high school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. You will also need to demonstrate knowledge of clerical procedures and the ability to organize files and records, as well as excellent customer service skills, providing courteous and prompt assistance to clients. In addition to these qualifications, you will need to possess accurate cash handling and cashiering abilities, strong multitasking skills with attention to detail, and flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays. You will also need to be able to work at a keyboard or workstation for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, and lifting animals up to 50 pounds. Essential Qualifications High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. Knowledge of clerical procedures and ability to organize files and records. Excellent customer service skills, providing courteous and prompt assistance. Accurate cash handling and cashiering abilities. Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail. Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays. Ability to work at a keyboard or workstation for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, and lifting animals up to 50 pounds. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a veterinary or healthcare environment. Knowledge of practice management software and experience with data entry and management. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and veterinarians. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
