Key Responsibilities As a Customer Service Agent at blithequark, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our customers. Your key responsibilities will include: Greeting customers and guiding them through the ticketing and baggage check-in process Using computers to sell, print, and reissue tickets Managing the check-in process to ensure that customers have the proper travel documentation Tagging baggage and performing lifting tasks that involve transferring baggage from scales to conveyor belts Practicing safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures Assisting customers with routing, trip planning, and gate boarding Using computers to assist customers with seat availability and making gate announcements regarding the boarding process, flight status, and baggage handling Operating jet ways and managing the boarding process Work Schedule and Environment As a Customer Service Agent at blithequark, you will be scheduled to work a shift between 20 to 40 hours per week. You will be required to work consistently in public areas and be able to understand and respond to a variety of questions about travel information. You may also be responsible for escorting unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport. This position requires standing for long periods of time and frequently lifting bags or items weighing up to and including 50 pounds. Compensation and Benefits The starting pay for this role is $16.55 per hour, with regular pay increases up to a maximum of $35.26 per hour. Additionally, having a strong understanding of the travel industry and being able to work well in a fast-paced environment can also be advantageous.
