As a temporary Customer Service Home Agent, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service to our customers, responding to their inquiries, and resolving any issues they may have. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service to L.L.Bean customers via phone, email, or chat, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues they may have Process orders, handle returns, and exchanges, and provide product information to customers Utilize our customer relationship management (CRM) system to document customer interactions and resolve issues efficiently Collaborate with other teams, such as sales and marketing, to provide a seamless customer experience Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, promotions, and company policies to provide accurate and helpful information to customers Meet or exceed performance metrics, such as customer satisfaction, first call resolution, and average handling time Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center or retail environment Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple customer interactions simultaneously Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn our CRM system Quiet, dedicated workspace in your home, meeting our technical and security requirements (see below) Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working in a remote or home-based environment Familiarity with outdoor products and activities, such as camping, hiking, or skiing Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills, with ability to communicate with customers in multiple languages Experience with customer service software, such as CRM or helpdesk systems Technical Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following technical equipment and internet connectivity: A computer and internet service that meet our system requirements, including: Windows 10 or above (Windows S mode is not compatible) macOS Monterey 12.6.8, macOS Ventura 13.5.1, or macOS Sonoma 14.5 8 GB of RAM minimum, 16 GB preferred Download speed of 25 Mbps, upload speed of 5 Mbps A separate headset with a microphone and USB connection, for MS Teams video calls A webcam, installed and ready to use A monitor of at least 17 inches (24 inches preferred) A full-size keyboard with number pad, and a mouse with scroll wheel A power strip surge protector, to protect your equipment Workspace Requirements Your home office must meet the following requirements: Located in Maine, with a quiet and dedicated workspace, free from noise and distractions A desk and chair that allow you to work safely and comfortably, with good ergonomics A separate phone line, for emergency purposes only Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At L.L.Bean, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
