Job Summary As a Customer Service Claims Specialist at blithequark, you will play a vital role in our claims department, responsible for answering internal and external phone and email inquiries, and providing information and explanations on various levels of contract coverage and terms. You will be the primary point of contact for our customers, ensuring that their queries are addressed promptly and efficiently. Your excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team environment will make you an invaluable asset to our organization. Key Responsibilities Analyze information in Vehicle Service Contract and claims system to advise customers of the appropriate benefit amounts. Request and distribute internal information to aid Claims Adjudication Department. Answer phone and email inquiries and provide information and explanations on the various levels of contract coverage, and claims processes. Manage work-flow, process and complete all requests and documents according to established procedures. Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Be interactive and communicative with management and co-workers in a visible manner, utilizing camera usage for training, team meetings, and meetings with management. Perform other job duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Key to Success To excel in this role, you will need to possess a combination of skills, qualifications, and personal attributes. These include: Minimum High School graduate or GED is Required. Strong organizational and customer service skills, with the ability to problem-solve and multi-task. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry skills. Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with contract holders, agents, dealers, internal staff/upper management, and customers. Proficient working on a PC, with a working knowledge of MS Office, and able to learn new programs quickly. Type at least 35 wpm, and document information while discussing the claim over the phone. Automotive Service Dept. experience preferred, with Warranty Administrators, BDC Representatives, Automotive Cashier/Receptionist, Service Writers also encouraged to apply. Essential Qualifications In addition to the above skills and qualifications, the ideal candidate will: Have a strong passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Be adaptable and flexible, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Have excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and achieve goals. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications and experience will be highly regarded: Previous experience in a customer-facing role, with a focus on claims or customer service. Knowledge of the automotive industry, with experience working with vehicle service contracts and claims. Call center experience, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
