As a valued member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills, build meaningful relationships with colleagues and customers, and contribute to the success of our organization. **Key Responsibilities** As a Customer Service Associate I, your primary responsibilities will include: * Assisting customers with questions and recommendations to ensure a positive and satisfying shopping experience * Managing sales transactions while working assigned cash register, maintaining accuracy and efficiency in processing transactions * Maintaining the security of cash and protecting company assets, adhering to blithequark's policies and procedures * Keeping the store well-stocked, recovering merchandise, and ensuring a visually appealing store environment * Receiving merchandise and assisting with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards * Ensuring a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders * Maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable * Performing other duties as assigned by management to support the success of the store **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you'll need: * A high school diploma or equivalent * Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment (highly preferred) * Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents * Physical ability to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting * Excellent customer service and relationship management skills * Strong organizational and communication skills * Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: * Previous experience working in a fast-paced retail environment * Knowledge of retail operations, including cash handling and inventory management * Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities * Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in processing transactions **Perks and Benefits** At blithequark, we're committed to supporting the health, wealth, and mental well-being of our employees.
