We believe in fostering a culture of inclusivity, respect, and open communication, where every team member feels valued and empowered to make a difference. **Key Responsibilities** As a Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you will be responsible for: * Modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience that sets us apart from the competition * Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services * Resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience * Recommending items for sale to customers and suggesting trade-up and/or companion items * Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash and distributing change as requested * Processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed * Maintaining a clean and well-merchandised store environment, including counters and shelves * Implementing Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss * Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products * Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise * Assisting with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures * Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service and suggestive sell of promotional photo products * Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring a clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance * Complying with all company policies and procedures and maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or specialized training in customer service or a related field preferred * 1-2 years of experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in retail or healthcare * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations * Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working in a fast-paced retail or healthcare environment * Knowledge of store systems and store equipment * Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide a distinctive and delightful experience for every customer * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we are committed to helping our team members grow and develop their skills and careers.
