Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service by greeting, qualifying, recommending, and closing sales with customers in your assigned department. Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe for customers and colleagues. Collaborate with your Department Supervisor and other associates to achieve sales goals, share product knowledge, and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment. Stay up-to-date with the latest products, services, and promotions to provide accurate and informative support to customers. Essential Qualifications To succeed as a Customer Service and Sales Representative at blithequark, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. 1-2 years of customer-facing experience in a retail or sales environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences. Basic math skills and ability to accurately process transactions. Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will enhance your candidacy for this role: Previous experience in a retail or sales environment, preferably in a home improvement or similar industry. Knowledge of products and services related to building materials, décor, electrical, flooring, garden, hardware, kitchen & bath, lumber, millwork, paint, plumbing, and tool rental. Completion of a sales or customer service training program. Proficiency in a second language. Experience working with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
