About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and critical thinker to be part of our high-energy Inside Sales team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service, supporting our Outside Sales Representatives, and contributing to the overall success of our organization. Key Responsibilities Perform administrative and office support activities for assigned Outside Sales Representatives, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. Assist in gathering necessary information from customers to obtain credit approval, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies. Prepare quotes and present them to Sales Representatives and/or customers, providing exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process. Maintain customer change orders and delivery information using industry-based software programs, ensuring timely and accurate updates. Assist customers who call in with questions about their orders, providing prompt and professional responses to resolve issues and concerns. Who You Are To be successful in this role, you will be: Highly organized, with the ability to maintain accurate records and collaborate with colleagues and customers. Proactively aware of customer needs, able to anticipate and follow through on customer requests. Possess notable customer service skills, with the ability to express empathy and understanding when communicating with customers. Able to balance multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively, meeting deadlines and achieving goals. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you will have: Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management. Strong attention to detail and great follow-through ability, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines and achieving goals. Ability to self-motivate and work independently, with a strong desire to learn and grow with our organization. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in customer service or sales, with a strong understanding of the engineered wood products industry. Knowledge of industry-based software programs, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems. A strong network of contacts in the construction industry, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers.
