Job Overview In this exciting role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing first-class service and support to ensure their travel experience is nothing short of exceptional. As a Customer Service Agent, you will be responsible for assisting passengers with their baggage, resolving issues with delayed, lost, or damaged items, and utilizing computer software to track and catalog luggage. Your excellent communication skills, friendly demeanor, and ability to work well under pressure will make you a valuable asset to our team. Key Responsibilities Assist passengers with their baggage pick-up, ensuring a smooth and efficient process Resolve issues with delayed, lost, or damaged items in a professional and courteous manner Utilize computer software to track and catalog luggage, maintaining accurate records and reports Handle customer interactions with class, efficiency, and effectiveness, providing exceptional service and support Perform other related duties as assigned, within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position Lift, carry, push, and pull items of 70 pounds and/or more regularly, and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Be a local (in-state) resident, with a strong understanding of the community and its needs Hold a High School diploma or GED, with a strong foundation in customer service and communication Have a valid In-State Driver's License, with a clean driving record Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment Ability to pass up to a 10-year background check, demonstrating a commitment to integrity and trustworthiness Be at least 18 years of age, with a mature and professional approach to customer service Have the authorization to work in the United States, as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986 Complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security, ensuring compliance with industry regulations Be able to carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs, with a focus on safety and efficiency Be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft, and use radio equipment effectively, demonstrating a strong sense of situational awareness Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be highly regarded: Previous experience in customer service, aviation, or a related field, with a strong understanding of industry practices and standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals Ability to work well under pressure, with a focus on providing exceptional service and support in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and challenges Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on providing exceptional support and service Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals Ability to work well under pressure, with a focus on providing exceptional service and support in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and challenges Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items of 70 pounds and/or more regularly, and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development, both personally and professionally.
