Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Customer Service Agent to join our team at arenaflex. As a Customer Service Agent, you will be the face of our company, interacting with customers at the ticket counter, baggage service office, and gate area. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that our passengers have a positive and memorable travel experience. Key Responsibilities Offer friendly assistance to and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers Work in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of our organization Provide exceptional customer service to individuals seeking to travel, use cargo or baggage services by addressing their needs Handle all aspects of ticketing and check-in by operating an automated retail system, boarding, baggage handling, reservations, and resolving related complaints and issues Greet and handle customers in a courteous and friendly manner, handling cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment for tickets Process transactions, make change, and balance daily transactions, being responsible for any overage or shortage Check in baggage and cargo, answer phone calls to provide information to guests, page customers, resolve issues or complaints, and assist as needed Handle transactions required to board the aircraft in an efficient and timely manner Manage upset customers due to oversells, delayed or canceled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage, resolving issues quickly and within guidelines established by the organization Provide current and accurate admission, schedule, reservations, flight arrival/departure information, and answer general questions from customers and other airport visitors Complete forms and reports as required by the organization Prepare incident and complaint reports as necessary Perform other work duties as directed by supervisors Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's degree and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to work well under pressure, think critically, and resolve problems efficiently. Additionally, you will need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications While not required, previous experience in customer service, aviation, or a related field is highly desirable. You should also be proficient in using computer systems, including automated retail systems, and have excellent typing skills. Knowledge of airline operations, ticketing, and baggage handling procedures is also an asset. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Ability to type or use a computer keyboard with adequate speed to meet the needs of the job Able to read documents, follow instructions, learn and understand ticketing procedures, rules, and regulations Ability to work with others as part of a team, meet the public, and work under stressful conditions Able to complete customer service training program with an 80% or higher average and a probationary period Awareness of hazardous situations and ability to handle emergencies on a case-by-case basis Able to work under close time constraints to achieve quick turns of aircraft Able to present a well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Ground Operations Agent Handbook and Employment Agreement Able to perform all job functions within a limited space Able to communicate verbally by phone, in person, and on public address systems effectively Excellent written and oral skills Able to communicate information and instructions verbally or via radio equipment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
