About the Direct Channel Strategy and Activation Team The Direct Channel Strategy and Activation (DCS&A) team is dedicated to delivering robust customer experiences across engagement touchpoints by leveraging strategy, data, and tools to bring marketing to life. Our team leads direct channel strategy and consumer data selection for 1:1 marketing campaigns and handles the deployment of direct channel strategies. We achieve these functions in collaboration with internal Disney teams as well as with vendors and software/data providers. Job Overview As a Manager II in the DCS&A team, you will be responsible for driving the day-to-day management and execution of direct channel campaigns. You will be considered a subject matter expert in the tools and data our team uses for activation and will provide mentoring and support to others in the team. You will lead partner meetings related to campaign activations for your lines of business and will report to the DCS&A Partner Director. You will work in-office Monday through Thursday and remotely on Fridays. This position does not have direct reports. Key Responsibilities Drive the day-to-day management and execution of direct channel campaigns Provide mentoring and support to others in the team Lead partner meetings related to campaign activations for your lines of business Report to the DCS&A Partner Director Work in-office Monday through Thursday and remotely on Fridays Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will have: 2+ years of direct experience in SQL analyzing large datasets, performing selects, joins, investigating data issues, and validating audience segmentation Experience translating technical details and data insights into compelling stories and campaign visions for non-technical marketing partners, facilitating alignment through clear communication 5+ years of direct experience in campaign list selection processes and campaign deployment capabilities Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of complex data environments, social database philosophy, structures, and querying Experience collaborating across organizational teams and demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills like influence, negotiation, and problem-solving Experience with large organizations and navigating ambiguity while maintaining clear independent direction Ability to convey technical concepts to colleagues in a non-technical manner Ability to work independently, investigate, and identify efficiencies that can be applied across the team Leadership ability to mentor and support more junior colleagues Strategic mindset that allows you to apply relevant direct channel strategies to all your work Strong attention to detail with solid Client Acceptance Testing and quality assurance inclination Experience with Adobe Campaign Classic and Adobe Campaign Standard Experience building complex marketing streams using multiple direct channels Direct experience with Javascript, HTML, and CSS to conclude campaign deployment of emails Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience with data analysis and interpretation Knowledge of marketing automation platforms Familiarity with social media marketing and customer engagement strategies Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong technical skills, including experience with SQL, Javascript, HTML, and CSS Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Disney, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
