Job Summary As a Pharmacy Technician and Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting pharmacists with the practice of pharmacy, including data entry tasks, patient care, and customer service. You will also be required to develop strong relationships with customers, resolve customer issues, and provide a unique and delightful customer experience. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, managing inventory, and performing other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Staff Pharmacist. Key Responsibilities Assist pharmacists with the practice of pharmacy, including data entry tasks, patient care, and customer service Develop strong relationships with customers, resolve customer issues, and provide a unique and delightful customer experience Maintain accurate records, manage inventory, and perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Staff Pharmacist Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and perform other tasks as required Assist with scheduling and maintaining workflow, including answering phone calls and handling customer inquiries Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a unique and delightful customer experience Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers and provide personalized service to meet their needs Essential Qualifications Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) Preferred: 6 months of experience in a retail environment Preferred: Previous work experience with Walgreens Preferred: Basic math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications Preferred: Basic computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control Preferred: PTCB certification Skills and Competencies Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and other tasks Ability to develop strong relationships with customers and team members Basic math skills and knowledge of pharmacy operations Ability to work independently and as part of a team Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Walgreens, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for career growth and development.
