About the Position The Customer Alarm Monitoring Agent is responsible for monitoring alarm signals and dispatching emergency services as needed. This position requires exceptional customer service skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and a strong commitment to ensuring the safety and security of our customers. As a Customer Alarm Monitoring Agent at blithequark, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, responding to alarms, providing critical support to customers, and collaborating with emergency responders. Key Responsibilities Respond to alarm signals from customers' alarm systems, assessing the situation and taking appropriate action to ensure customer safety and security. Dispatch emergency signals to police, fire, and medical agencies, providing critical information and support during emergency situations. Provide world-class customer service to customers in their time of need, offering empathy, support, and solutions to resolve their concerns. Notify customers of non-emergency signals, keeping them informed and up-to-date on the status of their alarm systems. Notify account contacts of emergency signals after dispatch, ensuring that all relevant parties are informed and involved in the response. Receive and process inbound calls requesting information, providing accurate and helpful responses to customer inquiries. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and a commitment to learning and development. Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute, ensuring efficient and effective communication with customers and emergency responders. Must be able to pass an FBI criminal background check to obtain a Burglar Alarm License in all 50 states, demonstrating a high level of integrity and trustworthiness. One year of customer service experience preferred, but not required, highlighting the importance of exceptional service skills and a customer-centric approach. Nice-to-Haves While not required, the following skills and qualifications are highly desirable: Bilingual Spanish/English speakers, with an additional $1.00 per hour, demonstrating a commitment to diversity and inclusivity. Experience in a high-stress environment, highlighting the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
