Job Overview and Key Responsibilities arenaflex is seeking qualified co-op students to join the OCC team for a minimum of three alternating work terms. As a co-op student, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development of strategies, tools, and policies that drive operational efficiency and excellence. Your key responsibilities will include: Utilizing data to solve operational business challenges and drive decision-making Collaborating with aviation professionals to support team success Developing applications and efficiencies to reduce workload for frontline teams Researching and developing methods to determine safe and efficient fuel loads, improve aircraft routing, and enhance cargo forecasting Working with the Load Control Center to ensure compliance with manufacturer and company specifications Co-op Assignments As a co-op student, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and assignments, including: Load Control Center: responsible for aircraft weight and balance, fuel distribution, and ensuring compliance with manufacturer and company specifications Fuel System: responsible for developing strategies, tools, and sustainability policies for annual jet fuel consumption Requirements to Succeed To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following minimum qualifications: Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related 4-year degree program Available to work for three alternating semesters, Monday through Friday Must be enrolled in an educational institution throughout the co-op program Willingness and ability to learn new skills and take on new challenges Team-first attitude with a focus on team success Strong organizational, project management, and verbal/written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint Comfortable working in both group and individual settings Prioritizes safety and security for oneself and others Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles Must have a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the US Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Familiarity or experience with SQL, SAS, Python, R, Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint Understanding of airline operations, scheduling, and planning History of leadership roles in student and community organizations Passionate about a future career in the aviation industry and serving arenaflex's customers Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Analytical skills : ability to analyze data and drive decision-making Communication skills : ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams Problem-solving skills : ability to solve operational business challenges Teamwork skills : ability to work collaboratively with others to drive team success Adaptability : ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits As a co-op student at arenaflex, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and develop skills that will benefit you throughout your career.
