Job Overview We're looking for a skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure automation, pipeline automation, and cloud competencies. As a key member of our technology team, you'll collaborate with application, security, and architecture groups to develop reusable and scalable cloud infrastructure for our business applications. Key Responsibilities Perform in a DevOps culture and team, responsible for architecture, design, development, implementation, and ongoing operations of new and emerging technology systems Implement automation tools and frameworks for automated code deployment (CI/CD) Lead the design, development, and evolution of cloud infrastructure Establish and/or follow procedures and standards to ensure high-quality work Collaborate with stakeholders to specify requirements and solutions that address business challenges and opportunities Serve as a subject matter expert in cloud infrastructure, performing design reviews and consulting with your teams to ensure design quality practices Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery strategies Participate in system and attractiveness testing to ensure that systems are functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated Check and implement system improvements using techniques that maintain system integrity May perform other task responsibilities as directed by employee's Leaders Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: Knowledge of AWS Infrastructure as a service Automation tools like Cloud Formation Expertise in AWS compute, data resources, security technology Understanding of infrastructure-as-code (IAC) Skilled in deployment strategies using Docker for containerization Skilled in monitoring tools Ability to mentor and guide team members' learning, including introducing new ideas and technologies Ability to anticipate business needs and lead a team towards identifying and solving cross-area issues Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience with common automation tools such as Stash, Git, Nexus, Jenkins, Gradle, Groovy, and YML Familiarity with Docker, Serverless, ECS, Kubernetes Knowledge of Python, ANT, Artifactory, Groovy, Maven, MS Build, Nexus, NuGet Experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, TFS, TeamCity, or Bamboo Familiarity with configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible Education and Experience To be considered for this role, you'll need: A high school diploma or GED A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or equivalent formal education Intermediate-level experience, fully functioning large expertise in Cloud software or DevOps What We Offer As a part-time Cloud DevOps Engineer at Southwest Airlines, you'll enjoy: A competitive hourly rate of $27-$35 A remote work-from-home arrangement with flexibility and autonomy Opportunities for career growth and professional development A collaborative and inclusive work environment A culture that values innovation, creativity, and customer satisfaction Work Environment and Company Culture At Southwest Airlines, we're committed to creating a work environment that's inclusive, diverse, and supportive.
