Job Highlights and Overview As a Center-Based RBT, you will play a vital role in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for our clients, working closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and other members of our interdisciplinary team. Your primary responsibility will be to provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings, utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training to increase critical developmental skills such as language and communication, social, and school readiness behaviors. Key Responsibilities Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings, following the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols as outlined in each client's individualized treatment plan. Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior, utilizing digital applications and mobile devices to track progress and inform treatment decisions. Assist with parent and caregiver training, providing education and support to ensure consistency and carryover of skills in the home and community environments. Ensure timely and accurate documentation of client progress, following established procedures and protocols. Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and other team members regarding client progress, concerns, and needs. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of our clients and staff. Assist BCBAs with preparation of client materials, behavior reduction assessments, and skills acquisition plans, contributing to the development of comprehensive and individualized treatment plans. Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong passion for working with children with autism and other developmental disabilities, as well as a commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based care. The following qualifications, skills, and knowledge are required: Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to complete a 40-hour training course and sit for the RBT competency exam within 45 days of employment. High School Diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, education, special education) preferred. Reliable transportation, proof of driver's license, and valid car insurance (if applicable). Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly to ensure client safety and engagement. Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and capacity to maintain emotional control in challenging situations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members. Strong cultural competency, flexibility, and openness to working with diverse populations and adapting to changing circumstances. Ability to maintain confidentiality, adhere to safety protocols, and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethics. Preferred Qualifications and Experience While not required, the following qualifications and experience are highly preferred: Previous experience working as a Behavioral Technician, Teacher's Aid, Tutor, CNA, Caregiver, or Home Health Aide. Experience working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities, either in a professional or personal capacity. Completion of a degree program in a related field (e.g., psychology, education, special education). CPR and First Aid certification, as well as a TB test (if not already completed within the past year).
