Key Responsibilities Develop and teach contract classes in a variety of subjects, including but not limited to drawing, painting, jewelry/metal arts, culinary skills, senior-focused art and technology classes, and other areas of interest Design and implement engaging and effective lesson plans, course materials, and assessments to ensure an optimum learning environment for students of all ages and skill levels Manage the classroom to promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and social interaction among students Assist in the promotion and marketing of contract classes to attract new students and increase program enrollment Collaborate with City staff to develop diverse and creative programming that meets the evolving needs and interests of the community Evaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and make recommendations for future class offerings and program development Essential Qualifications and Experience To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent knowledge and experience, as well as some teaching or presentation experience. You should be familiar with working with diverse populations and have a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service and community engagement. A City of Irvine Business License and fingerprinting through the Irvine Police Department are also required for this position.
