Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Business Data Scientist to join our Impact Measurement team at arenaflex. As a Business Data Scientist, you will be responsible for supporting arenaflex in making better decisions by translating unclear questions into business questions, designing research to answer those questions, and communicating findings to non-technical audiences while being transparent about uncertainty and the assumptions used in your analysis. Your primary goal will be to speak on data's behalf and assist decision-makers in being data-driven. You will design and lead informal research with the clear goal of answering business questions, present and communicate actionable insights and recommendations to executives, business leaders, and cross-functional partners, and serve as a peer-reviewer and representative for causal research designed by other teams. You should also have experience with articulating business and product questions and pulling data from datasets using SQL and statistical tools such as R, SAS, Stata, MATLAB, etc. In addition, you should have internship or experience with data evaluation, including experience with linear models, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, and sampling techniques. You should be able to design and lead informal research with the clear goal of answering business questions and communicate complex data insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Bayesian hierarchical models, Bayesian Additive Regression Trees (BART), Bayesian Causal Forest (BCF), Gaussian Processes, and Synthetic Control techniques Experience designing and studying randomized controlled trials Experience designing and studying causal research using observational data Experience with statistical data analysis, including linear models, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, and sampling techniques Experience working with large datasets and developing data visualizations to communicate insights Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits The US base salary range for this full-time role is $124,000-$182,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary levels are determined by position, level, and location. The range displayed on every job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
