Assistant Teacher Role As an Assistant Teacher at Childcare Network, you'll play a vital role in the success of our center. You'll be a positive role model, create meaningful relationships with our students and families, and be a supportive resource for your team. Your passion for childhood education will shine through as you work alongside our Lead Teacher to provide a safe, warm, and inviting classroom environment. Key Responsibilities Assist the Lead Teacher in maintaining a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and development. Communicate daily with families regarding student progress or needs to encourage partnership and support. Develop strong professional relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a sense of community and promote parent and community engagement. Maintain a high-quality standard of care for every child by adhering to all minimum licensing, quality-rated, and/or accreditation guidelines and company standards. Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children, ensuring a healthy and nutritious environment. Utilize our science-based, proprietary curriculum and suggested supplement activities to create a fun and engaging learning environment tailored to each child's developmental needs. Assist with keeping daily records, including attendance, child portfolios, USDA documentation, and other records required by local agencies. Partner with team members and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditations, and family engagement. Essential Qualifications Genuine warmth and understanding of the needs of young children and their families. A positive attitude and self-image with a commitment to innovation and creativity. Strong communication skills with coworkers, parents, and children. HS Diploma or GED required. Must pass the state-required criminal background check. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in early childhood education. Knowledge of child development principles and practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively. Skills and Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
