We also offer a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities, health insurance, and retirement plans. **Key Responsibilities** As an Art Teacher with our district, you will be responsible for providing a personalized instructional program that is compatible with the abilities, needs, and learning characteristics of each student. Your key responsibilities will include: * Providing a child-centered learning environment that is characterized by the consistent application of sound mental health and educational psychology practices * Implementing prescribed curriculum and instructional methods * Employing creative methods of instruction and utilizing a variety of materials within the structure of the designated curriculum * Becoming acquainted with the characteristics, needs, abilities, and problems of each child through personal interaction and by seeking information from psycho-educational reports, hearing and vision reports, staffing notes, end-of-the-year student status reports, etc. * Informing the building principal whenever a student's attendance is unsatisfactory * Supplying the building principal with any abnormal attendance reports on any student * Reporting student address and telephone number changes to the building principal * Providing the building principal with an up-to-date copy of the schedule of classroom activities that the teacher is following * Maintaining up-to-date lesson plans * Using the designated methods of reporting student progress to parents * Attending specified in-service meetings and conferences with the building principal * Developing a close relationship with each student's parents or guardians * Using teacher aides or helpers in accord with the designated job descriptions * Performing such other professional duties as may be assigned by the building principal **Qualifications** To be considered for this role, you will need to have: * A Professional Educators License * Endorsement(s) in Art, Grade 9-12 * A strong understanding of curriculum design and implementation * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * The ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues * A commitment to providing a high-quality education to all students **Skills and Competencies** To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Strong instructional skills, including the ability to design and implement engaging lesson plans * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues * The ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong organizational and time management skills * The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities * A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** As an Art Teacher with our district, you will have access to a range of career growth opportunities and learning benefits, including: * Professional development opportunities, including workshops, conferences, and online courses * Mentorship and coaching from experienced educators * Opportunities for leadership and advancement within the district * A supportive and collaborative work environment * A range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off **Work Environment and Company Culture** Our district is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
