Job Synopsis The Agency Sales Manager is a knowledgeable authority for corporate travel management services at blithequark. As a single point of contact, this role exercises significant judgment to make decisions that drive consistent revenue, utilizing aspects of our organization and corporate client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, marketing, and customer relationship management, with a focus on business travel and corporate client associations. Key Responsibilities Act as an informed authority for Travel Management Company (TMC) business for blithequark, providing expert guidance and support to internal stakeholders and external clients. Build key business relationships with TMC accounts focused on business travel value propositions for blithequark, identifying opportunities to drive revenue growth and expand our market share. With minimal direction from authority, exercise extensive judgment to manage the pricing, cost analysis, and negotiations of all TMC agreements, aiming to achieve the highest possible market share and yield in individual markets. Collaborate with legal and risk management teams to develop contract-compliant agreements that meet the needs of our clients and our organization. Analyze revenue, margins, and contract performance to ensure objective compliance and profitability, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize our results. Build key business relationships with TMC accounts focused on business travel value propositions for blithequark, fostering a deep understanding of our clients' needs and developing tailored solutions to meet their requirements. Develop marketing-related promotions to support sales efforts, working closely with marketing and business development teams to create targeted campaigns and initiatives. Manage the setup of TMC agency accounts through sales calls, negotiating agreements, and coordinating with pricing teams to ensure seamless onboarding and optimal revenue performance. Plan business growth and lead development of other agency accounts through collaboration with revenue management teams, ensuring that all necessary documentation is filed and that we drive expected revenue in accordance with the terms of the agreement. Monitor reporting and metrics to identify trends and develop a strategy to ensure that blithequark is positioned appropriately in the market, staying ahead of the competition and capitalizing on emerging opportunities. Monitor revenue, commissions, and contract performance to ensure maximum revenues and sales objectives are achieved, taking corrective action when necessary to get back on track. Effectively manage and negotiate time and resources, maximizing revenue opportunities at the most cost-effective rate for blithequark and ensuring that we deliver exceptional value to our clients. Prepare and execute local sales plans in accordance with corporate sales targets, guaranteeing that blithequark is strategically positioned among its competitors and leveraging its position in the marketplace to drive growth and expansion. Essential Qualifications 2 years of experience in outside sales, with a focus in the retail service environment or related area, preferably in the airline or travel industry. Bachelor's degree, or two additional years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree, demonstrating a strong foundation in business, marketing, or a related field. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems. High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong academic record and a demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development. Must be authorized to work in the U.S., with a valid passport and the ability to travel as required. Preferred Qualifications Prior airline experience, with a deep understanding of the industry and its complexities, as well as a network of contacts and relationships that can be leveraged to drive growth and expansion. Prior exposure to and utilization of travel industry data reporting sources like Sabre and Crystal, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets and develop insights that inform business decisions. Proficiency with CRM tool Salesforce, with the ability to leverage technology to manage relationships, track performance, and drive sales growth. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive results to the greatest advantage of the organization, build strong relationships with clients and colleagues, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
