ERP Implementation Consultant, Human Capital Management (Tyler Munis)
American Operator is looking to place an ERP Implementation Consultant focused on Human Capital Management into one of our portfolio companies. The Implementation Consultant is a revenue-generating role responsible for delivering successful Tyler software implementations aligned with client workflows, systems, and business needs. This role partners closely with clients and internal teams to analyze business processes, configure solutions, deliver training, and ensure a smooth transition to Tyler software. The position requires strong consulting skills, independent judgment, and functional expertise in government enterprise systems. This remote role includes 25–50% travel to client sites. RESPONSIBILITIES • Analyze client business processes and document functional and technical requirements. • Consult with clients to align Tyler software with business workflows and operational needs. • Configure software, recommend process improvements, and support system remediations. • Design and deliver training and knowledge transfer sessions (on-site and virtual). • Educate users on system functionality, data entry, administration, security, and permissions. • Support data conversions, including data mapping, validation, and issue resolution. • Create or customize reports to meet client requirements. • Troubleshoot client issues and collaborate with Support, Development, and QA teams. • Develop client-facing and internal documentation (e.g., guides, quick tips). • Serve as a liaison between clients and technical teams, translating technical concepts for non-technical users. • Maintain project documentation, client communications, timesheets, and expense reports. • Identify and escalate risks or issues impacting project scope, timeline, or budget. • Participate in user conferences and facilitate assigned user group sessions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • 2+ years of experience in software implementation, consulting, or business process analysis. • Hands-on experience with government enterprise systems, including human capital management, payroll, leave management, or personnel administration. • Strong understanding of business workflows and system configuration. • Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment. • Willingness to travel 25–50% to client sites. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Experience implementing enterprise software for public sector or government clients. • Familiarity with Tyler Technologies products or similar ERP systems. • Experience with data conversions, reporting, and system integrations. • Background in training delivery or adult learning methodologies. • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and client engagements simultaneously.
