About the Role: Entry Level Microsoft Cloud and Data Center Inventory and Asset Management Specialist We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Microsoft Cloud and Data Center Inventory and Asset Management Specialist to join our team. As a vital member of our Cloud and Data Center operations, you will play a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services. This is an exciting opportunity to build your career, gain hands-on experience, and develop a deep understanding of inventory management principles, warranty process management, data bearing device destruction, and more. Key Responsibilities: Perform the destruction of data bearing devices (DBDs) and collect parts and components of decommissioned devices per procedure Conduct cycle counts, execute incoming/outgoing deliveries, coordinate security escorts for third-party vendors, and report inbound and outbound deliveries as directed by management Initiate warranty claims and process returns on failed equipment Develop working knowledge of inventory control and inventory management practices and techniques Perform process audits and data reconciliations to ensure all inventory controls are met Accommodate inventory discrepancies and report inconsistencies Ensure accurate physical inventory tracking and organization Perform material movement, including shipping/receiving and inventory management per standard process Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods Willingness to work in a warehouse environment and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in inventory management, logistics, or a related field Knowledge of inventory management software and systems Experience with data bearing device destruction and warranty process management Certifications in inventory management or a related field Skills and Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent time management and organizational skills Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Microsoft, we are committed to the professional and personal development of all employees.
